Davido Breaks New African Record on Twitter | SEE DETAILS
Nigerian superstar, Davido has become the first African artist to reach the 10 million follower mark on Twitter, a feat he achieved yesterday.
Davido has surpassed 10 million followers on his Twitter account becoming the very first African artist to achieve the feat. This was shared via Instagram on Saturday, the 15th of January 2022.
Although Davido did not release much music last year except for features and the Focalistic-assisted Champion Sound song, the singer still put together another sold-out show in Lagos last month. Davido's "A Decade of Davido" concert which was part of the Flytime Music Festival program was held on December 24, 2021, at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos. Away from mesmerizing the crowd with energetic performances from both his old and new catalogue, Davido was joined on stage by heavyweights like Olamide, Adekunle Gold, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Tiwa Savage, Falz, Zlatan, Naira Marley, Focalistic, Victony, and a slew of others.

Davido has now become the first African artist to attain 10 million followers on Twitter. The singer has come a long way from 2011 when he clocked a thousand followers and later on in 2014 when he attained 1 million followers.
