Davido and Lojay earn their first Billboard Hot 100 entry

Chris Brown's track Sensational featuring Davido and Lojay has earned its first Billboard Hot 100 entry.

The Billboard Hot 100, a weekly publication by Billboard magazine, serves as the industry standard record chart for songs in the United States. Moreover, rankings on the chart are determined by factors such as sales, online streaming, and radio play within the U.S.

Davido and Lojay make their first appearances on the Billboard Hot 100, thanks to their featured credits on Chris Brown’s “Sensational.” The Nigerian artists have joined the shortlist of Afrobeat songs that have made it to the Hot 100 charts.

However, Burna Boy and Tems currently hold the most amount of entries. The song is the second single from Brown’s 11th studio album 11:11, released in November. Sensational debuted at #96. According to Billboard Stats sensational debuted and peaked at No. 1 on Top R&B Albums and No. 9 on the Billboard 200. It has been building at multiple radio formats. It rose from 11th position to 9th position on R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, 16th spot to 10th spot on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, and number 16 to 14 on Rhythmic Airplay and debuts at No. 30 on Adult R&B Airplay.

Davido has further proven that he is a boundary-pusher, constantly challenging the limits of what is deemed possible. His Timeless album peaked at 37 on the Billboard 200, respectively, marking his first appearance on the chart. The king of Afrobeat has clinched three Grammy Award nominations at the upcoming ceremony. For the third time, Davido has been able to sell out the O2 arena ahead of his scheduled Davido Invasion concert.

Regarding Lojay, the Nigerian artist achieved his inaugural presence on the Billboard chart in 2022 through yet another collaboration with Chris Brown: "Monalisa," also featuring Sarz.
