Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has stirred conversation online with a recent post on Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter).

The singer appeared to indirectly respond to ongoing social media chatter surrounding him with a strongly worded message aimed at his critics.

On the evening of Tuesday, July 8, the Unavailable hitmaker took to his timeline with a tweet that read:
“As long as u can’t say it to my face … idgaf ..”

Although Davido did not reference any names or incidents directly, the post comes on the heels of a wave of online criticism. Just a day earlier, several social media users had accused the singer of allegedly promoting cultism, a claim that sparked heated debates across various platforms.

The tweet has since gone viral, with fans and followers interpreting it as Davido’s way of brushing off the controversy and reaffirming his indifference to online opinions that aren’t addressed to him personally.

As of press time, the singer has not issued any formal statement regarding the allegations, but his post has kept fans talking, with reactions split between support and speculation.
