A magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos, has granted permission for substituted service on key witnesses in the ongoing inquest into the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Magistrate T. A. Sotobi authorized Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba, to serve witness summons on interested persons through social media platforms and reputable national newspapers.

Additionally, Mohbad's death on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, sent shockwaves through the music industry. Also, he is survived by his wife, Wunmi Aloba, and their young son, Liam.

However, the inquest aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding Mohbad's passing. Lastly, the court's approval for substituted service brings the family one step closer to seeking justice.
