Chike pays tribute to late Mohbad at AMVCA 2024 performance
Popular Nigerian singer, Chike has delivered a heartfelt tribute to the late Oladimeji Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, during his performance at the African Magic Viewer's Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2024 on Saturday May 11, 2024.
Chike, who was among the lineup of artists scheduled to perform at the prestigious event, honored his fellow musician by incorporating a special segment into his set. This was captured in a video shared on Instagram.
During his performance of the hit song Egwu, a collaboration between Chike and Mohbad, the stage was adorned with energy as Chike and his troupe of dancers electrified the audience. In a particularly touching moment, the dancers formed a straight line and raised their clenched fists as one of them unveiled a banner bearing Mohbad's photograph.
