Burna Boy's management outfit, On A Spaceship management, has confirmed in an official statement the reason for postponing his concert in South Africa.

Following the official confirmation and announcement of the postponement of Burna Boy's concert at FNB stadium in South Africa on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, On A Spaceship management (Burna Boy's managerial outfit) has confirmed why the highly anticipated concert was postponed.

The concert, which was scheduled for September 23, 2023, has now been postponed with an official date not being confirmed, and the management debunked that the reason for the postponement of this concert was not as a result of low ticket sales as reports had initially claimed but rather due to production issues.

The statement released stated, “Sadly, it is with great regret that we must inform you that despite my team’s effort, the show in Johannesburg on September 23rd will be cancelled due to the inability of the promoters to fulfil their contractual, financial, production, and technical obligations. Production vendors have still not been paid, and as such, it is evident at this point that the agreed production standard needed for this venue size can not be achieved. We hereby state that all ticketing companies must ensure that is refunded in full. Deepest apologies to all fans, looking forward to seeing you all soon.”

Burna Boy also spoke on the speculations of the concert being cancelled as a result of poor ticket sales, stating that it is nothing other than an agenda and that he would be seeing his fans in South Africa soon.
