The Grammy-award-winning act is about to drop his seventh studio album a year after dropping his sixth.

Heavyweight Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has unveiled the official release date for his upcoming album 'I Told Them.'

The Grammy-award-winning act, whose first studio album L.I.F.E. was released as far back as 2013, has gone on to churn out six solid albums since then, and interestingly, the fans are about to get the seventh.

The Afro-fusion superstar, who recently made history after he sold out the 60,000-capacity London Stadium and became the first African artist to headline a stadium concert in the UK, also went out to sell out the 41,000-capacity Citi Field stadium in New York. He has been booked and busy all year, and to cap the run, he is about to bless the world with a new project.

In the build-up to the new project, Burna Boy already released Sittin' on Top of The World, an enthralling remix with American rapper 21 Savage, and a brand new single, Big 7, which were pop-concentrated tunes and further showed how versatile the African giant can be. The new album I told them couldn't have come at a better time.

According to global music distribution platform Apple Music, the seventh-track album is expected to be released on Friday, August 25, 2023.
