Burna Boy added to Grammy awards performance lineup

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has been added to the exclusive lineup of performers at the 66th Grammy Awards.

In the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards, Burna Boy, the Nigerian artist also known as Damini Ogulu, has secured a spot in the lineup of performers. The Recording Academy announced this addition on January 21, 2024, revealing that Burna Boy will share the stage with American artists Luke Combs and rapper Travis Scott.

The Grammy organisers posted on their official handle, "Attention: African Giant @BurnaBoy will grace the #GRAMMYs stage on Sunday, February 4th at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on @CBS". 66th Grammy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

It's worth noting that Burna Boy received nominations in four categories at the 66th Grammys.

The announcement about the new artist additions took place in the fourth quarter of Sunday's NFL football game between Kansas City and Buffalo.

As of now, confirmed Grammy performers are Dua Lipa, Travis Scott, Olivia Rodrigo, Luke Combs, Burna Boy, and Billie Eilish. The UnitedMasters music platform will also kick off Grammy weekend with performances from Davido, rapper Tokischa, and DJ artist Uncle Waffles. The show takes place at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, Feb. 2.

In the two weeks leading up to the event, organizers will unveil additional performers set to take the stage. Trevor Noah will be hosting for the fourth year. He is actively vying for a Grammy himself in the Best Comedy Album category with 'I Wish You Would'. He has earned a nomination for the Best Comedy Album category with 'I Wish You Would'.
