BTS is set to dominate the year 2026 as the multiple award-winning group have confirmed the release date of a new group album.

Fans of the biggest group on the planet, BTS, ARMY have plenty to celebrate as the global K-pop sensation has officially locked in a release date for its long-awaited comeback album, nearly four years after their last group project (Proof).

The seven members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, shared the news in a personal way, sending handwritten messages to selected members of their official fan club, BTS ARMY. Included with the notes was confirmation that the group’s next album is set to arrive on March 20, 2026. Multiple South Korean media outlets later corroborated the announcement, according to Variety.

BTS last released a group album, Proof, in June 2022, shortly before the members stepped away from the spotlight to complete their mandatory military service in South Korea. The group first hinted at new music during a livestream in July 2025, their first collective broadcast in almost three years, where they revealed plans to return to the studio, though no timeline was shared at the time.

In addition to the album announcement, BTS have also confirmed plans for a global tour following the release.

During that livestream, the members emphasised that the upcoming project would be a fully collaborative effort. They explained that the album would reflect the individual perspectives of all seven members and that they were approaching the process with the same passion and mindset that defined their early years together.
