Bose Ogulu reveals need for responsible management
Veteran music manager Bose Ogulu, also known as Mama Burna, has spoken out about the crucial role management plays in an artist's career.
She currently manages the thriving career of her son, Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy. In the interview with she explains that a strong management team is paramount for an artist's success.
"A manager is more responsible than the artiste," Ogulu is quoted as saying.
"You need to have a responsible management that you respect for you to do well," she added.
She explains that she grew up watching her father, Benson Idonije do same in his time as Fela Kuti’s manager. Then she highlight the often-underrated importance of management in the music industry.
