BOJ teases bold new album with surprising collaborations

Nigerian Alté trailblazer BOJ has officially announced his next studio album, Duplicity, set for release on Friday, December 5, 2025.
Known for pushing creative boundaries, the singer and songwriter is rolling out the project with a distinctive twist, releasing songs in pairs to reflect the album’s central theme of duality.
The campaign kicked off on Wednesday, November 12, with two singles arriving simultaneously: Shana, which features rap duo Show Dem Camp (SDC) and Ghanaian artist Joey B, and After Hours, a smooth collaboration with French-Gabonese singer Anaïs Cardot. The contrasting tracks introduce listeners to the project’s layered sound and conceptual depth, blending Alté, rap, and R&B influences.
In line with the “duplicity” concept, BOJ plans to continue dropping dual singles until the full album’s arrival. The next confirmed releases, “Contraband” featuring Afrobeats heavyweight Olamide and Diamonds featuring rising artist Mavo, are already generating buzz across social media.
The artist teased the project with stylized visuals, including a split-screen design and a minimalist black-and-white cover that highlight the album’s twin-sided aesthetic. BOJ hinted at his ambition to craft a cohesive, story-driven body of work rather than a standard playlist-style release.
With the album, Duplicity, BOJ seems set to deliver another defining statement in Nigeria’s evolving Alté scene, one that balances sonic experimentation with mainstream appeal. Fans can now stream Shana and After Hours ahead of the full album’s arrival in December.
