Benue State Governor appoints 2Baba as Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Outreach
Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has been appointed as the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
In a move that has generated excitement across the entertainment industry and his home state, Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has appointed iconic musician 2Baba as his Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach.
The appointment was officially announced in a video currently making rounds online, where Governor Alia lauded 2Baba’s lasting influence in the entertainment industry and his commitment to his home state of Benue. The governor praised the music star for his continuous support and pledged collaboration as the administration looks ahead to 2027.
“Let me thank you very deeply for supporting my administration and for preparing me for 2027,” Governor Alia said in the video. “It would not be out of place because you are a guru of entertainment. Once you say 2Face, people start dancing, even without the song.”
The governor further stated that 2Baba’s new role would involve providing expert guidance on entertainment-related initiatives and community engagement programs aimed at promoting unity, creativity, and youth development in Benue State.
A proud indigene of Benue, 2Baba has long been celebrated not only for his chart-topping music career but also for his philanthropic work through the 2Baba Foundation. The foundation champions causes such as peacebuilding, education, and good governance across Nigeria.
According to the state government, 2Baba’s wealth of experience and influence will play a pivotal role in connecting with the youth and fostering social development initiatives across the state. The appointment was met with applause from members of the state’s cabinet, as seen in the trending announcement video.
