The just concluded Big Brother Naija All-Star Season has announced its winner for this season, as Ilebaye and Ike Onyema are taking all the credit

The BBN All-Stars season opened its doors for housemates from the first season to its current season to compete for the grand prize of 120 million. All-Stars season brought the oldest and youngest housemates to the same level. In the beginning, fans believed that the winner for this season would be Mercy Eke, as she had the strongest fanbase to date, had won during her own season, and was loved by all.

That wasn’t the case this time around, as Ilebaye Odiniya who was coined the underdog during her previous season, was crowned winner for the 8th season of Big Brother Naija. However, Ike Onyema is taking all the glory as he believes he was the originator of her success. Ike had said during the beginning of the show that he would do everything in his power to ensure Mercy did not win for a second time. He and Mercy Eke were in a relationship in and after the Big Brother Pepper Dem season. Both ex-lovers even had another show together called "Mercy and Ike”.

Ike proceeded to take many actions against Ilebaye to make her stand out to the audience such as throwing her clothes and other personal belongings on the floor. Ike and Pere also came up with plans to set her up for another strike. His plans did not succeed as he was evicted the following week. Ike also told other housemates how he felt manipulated by Mercy during their season and relationship. “I was very generous with her during our season but she took me for a fool, I am never doing it again this time,” he said.

After she won, Ike took to Twitter saying “They say I’m a 2-time queen maker but I’d say I’m the orchestrator of God’s plan. Feel free to thank me”. Ike also had a few words for Maria Chike who had previously goaded him when Mercy moved to the finals. Via Twitter, he wrote, “I forgive you Maria Chike. Go and sin no more”.
