Here is why the new head of house for week one of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) 2024 will not have immunity from eviction.

Following the confirmation of the head of house for week one of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) 2024, speculations as to whether they will have immunity from being up for eviction have been raised.

The ninth season of the BBNaija reality show began on Sunday night, introducing an exciting new twist where contestants entered the house in pairs, adding a fresh dynamic to the competition.

Ocee and Ozumba Mbadiwe, contestants on Big Brother Naija Season 9, have been crowned the first Head of House following a competitive game held on Monday. Unlike previous seasons where the Head of House games were played individually, this season's challenge involved a ballot game where housemates voted for the pair they wanted to win.

After all the votes were cast, there was a tie between the Mbadiwes and the pair of Femi and Michky. The deciding vote was cast by the custodians, an aunt and niece duo, who chose the Mbadiwe Twins as the winners.

Here is why the Mbadiwe twins might be nominated for eviction

Despite their victory, the twins will not have immunity this season, meaning they are not protected from eviction. This is because the aunt and niece duo who had received the reward of winning the first custodian challenge have been granted immunity going into the first week of the head of house votes.

It remains to be seen if this would be a one-off thing or if it would continue for the rest of the reality tv show.
