Adekunle Gold’s highly anticipated new album, Fuji, is set to be released on Friday, October 3, 2025, and the buzz around it is already sparking a major celebration.

The Mainland Block Party has announced plans for a special street carnival to mark the occasion, scheduled to hold on Lagos Island just two days after the project drops.

The Fuji Street Carnival will take place on Sunday, October 5, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., bringing Adekunle Gold’s fans together for what organizers describe as a cultural and musical experience “out of this world.”

The event’s striking poster captures that theme perfectly, showing two astronauts in spacesuits playing traditional talking drums, with surreal details like a rocket ship and a floating balloon figure. The imagery echoes Adekunle Gold’s bold attempt to reimagine Fuji music by blending its traditional roots with Afropop and global sounds.

Known for its energetic events, the Mainland Block Party is moving its base from the mainland to the historic Lagos Island for this special celebration. Organizers say the carnival will feature live performances, cultural displays, and a full street party atmosphere dedicated to the singer’s new body of work.

Tickets are already available online, and fans are being urged to secure theirs early. The event is supported by Pepsi and other partners.

With the excitement surrounding Fuji already building, the carnival is set to cement Adekunle Gold’s new album as one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
