Spyro reacts to losing Headies Next Rated award to Asake
Spyro who released a single in line with the acclaimed 2024 motto, No Gree For Anybody reveals in an interview that he sees himself as Next Rated Nigerian artist.
He had released an album in November 2024, titled Next Rated whose album cover was Spyro in Gold quite similar to the headies award trophy. The headies award for Next Rated was announced in September, 2023, with Asake coming out as winner.
Spyro in the interview said that in his world, he is Next Rated and although he believes Asake actually deserved the award, “you call yourself what you want people to call you.”
Spyro has been making true to his belief with the release of Only Fine girl which was so well received that he made a remix of the song with Simi.
