The second day of the three-day music festival, which celebrates African music and culture, was another splendid sight to see.

African superstars like Wizkid, Asake, Black Sherif, BNXN, and a list of others were among the entertainers who gave the crowd a good time at the ongoing 2023 Afro Nation in Portugal.

The globally known festival, which was founded in 2013, has continued its annual tradition since its inception, taking the celebration around different parts of the world, including the other land itself, Africa.

Scheduled to run from June 28–30, 2023, in Portimao, Portugal, the event already saw a star-studded first day of activities, which included fire performances from heavyweights like Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Popcaan, Aya Nakamura, and a host of others, and the fun continued.

Held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, the second-day event saw a sizzling performance from Ghanaian sensational rapper Black Sherif, who gave an energetic performance of songs like Sad Boys Don't Fold, Kweku the Traveler, and other songs.

Exciting Nigerian singer-songwriter Daniel Benson, popularly known as BNXN (fka Buju) also came through with his melodious spice, making the crowd sing along to smash hits like In My Mind, Gwagalada, Testimony, Finesse, Feeling, and more.

As the tempo of the evening intensified, YBNL and Empire neo-fuji star Asake took to the stage with a thrilling entrance by riding a bicycle into the stage. As expected, the crowd was very excited to see the bubbling musician. Asake gave a mind-blowing performance in a set that had songs like Sungba, Loaded, Dull, Joha, Amapiano, 2:30, Palazzo, Organize, and other smash tunes. A highlight of the night was when the singer allowed the adrenaline to take over and he leaped into the crowd, after which he was carried triumphantly.

The night was duly capped with the grand performance of Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid, whose aura of superstardom breezed through the crowd. Showing up with his luggage of hits, Big Wiz dished out smash tunes like Come Closer, Joro, Daddy Yo, Essence, Caro, Bad to Me, Soco, and a slew of others. Interestingly, Wizkid spiced things up with a soul-stirring rendition of Vincentian signer Kevin Lyttle's classic Turn Me On.

Afro Nation always brings together the best artists in Afrobeats, Hip Hop, RnB, Dancehall, Amapiano, Afro House, and more. The expected lineup for this year's Portugal edition is expected to still see performances from the likes of Davido, 50 Cent, Booba, Fireboy DML, Gabzy, Sauti Sol, Gyakie, and a host of others.
