Tanzanian rapper Bill Nass gets big break on Coke Studio

Fast rising Tanzanian rapper Bill Nass of the hit songs: “Raha”, “Mazoea”and “Ligi Ndogo” is set to make his debut on Coke Studio Africa – 2017. The young hip hop legend will be performing alongside Uganda’s dancehall queen Sheebah Karungi Ethiopia’s Asgegnew Ashko and produced by Malawian-born music producer from South Africa: Gemini Major. 

Speaking on his debut in Nairobi during the show’s recording, Bill Nass said: “I feel blessed to be on show, it is good feedback that my talent and hard work is now been recognized,” adding, “Working with Asgegnew and Sheebah is a really good mash up since we are from different cultures and places in Africa and that’s why I love the show because the whole idea and level of production.”

The Big Break segment returns to Coke Studio for a second year this season. Other Big Break artists on the show will include: The Band BeCa (Kenya), Mashayabhuqe (South Africa), Dremo (Nigeria), Denise (Madagascar), Shellsy Baronet (Mozambique), Ozane (Togo), Worlasi (Ghana) and Ykee Benda (Uganda). Uganda’s sensational singer Lydia Jazmine is Coke Studio Africa’s first artist to be featured on the show’s Big Break artist to return only a season later as a Main Artist.

The highly anticipated show is set to premiere in more than 30 countries across Africa starting this weekend (September 10th).
