La Même Gang - La Même Tape (Mixtape)

Ghanaian cool kid collective La Même Gang presents their new project, titled the La Même Tape. La Même Tape is a unique music project by a supergroup of highly talented artists and producers, collectively known as the La Même Gang, who came together to take us through an experience of their exciting home-grown sound.

La Même Gang consists of artists Darkovibes, Kiddblack, KwakuBs, $pacely, RJZ, and producers Kuvie and Nxwrth. The tape has additional appearances from Abu, Hama, and Kwesi Arthur.

The La Même Tape takes us on a journey through trap, afro-pop, fusions of the two, and more, for an unorthodox but pleasant musical experience. Whether it's the unapologetically Ghanaian, fast-paced afro-pop vibes of Yaa Baby, or the party starting hip-hop vibes of Mad Op (both being personal favorites), there's definitely a tune that will make you stop along the way and put it on repeat.

This tape is quite honestly unlike any other music project from West Africa. It could be the fact that Le Même Gang is a supergroup where every artist showcases their respective styles, bringing a different element to each song, or it could be the unique soundscape due to the choices of genre and quality production, or it could very likely be a combination of both. Either way, you'd have to listen for yourself to completely get the drift.

The La Même Tape is an amazing showcase of talent on the sides of both the artists and the producers, and the formula of its creation has given rise to ground-breaking music. We can't wait for the visuals, and more music too!
