Vector - #A7 (Mixtape)

Man of the moment, Vector Tha Viper has finally released the much-awaited mixtape, the #A7 Project today. The mixtape follows release of singles off it over the past two weeks – as the rapper launched back into the music scene with hot new music fay after day.

“The mixtape, #A7 is a gift to my fans that believed in me and kept the dream alive, even when I had to take a break,” said Vector. “I am exploring and having a blast with it, and fans will see sides of me they haven’t seen before – let’s have fun people!”

The #A7 Project is a track of 16 songs, including the first one released this year, ‘Where is Vector?’ and the bonus track that has everyone excited, ‘Shiga’, featuring Toolz and Waje as vocalists.

The afropop mixtape is produced by, Pheelz , Hcode, Licious, Boljibeats and KidConnect. It also features Ezi Emela and IcebergSlim.

This mixtape is released under a new management, GidiGroove Media.

this Mixtape is definitely moving Vector an edge further, if well promoted. He has once again prove himself as not just a vapor in the music industry but a massive weight that others should recon with.

Vector should be rapping outside of Nigeria; or better still, do collabos with rappers from other countries. he should put himself out there. if our people don't know how to appreciate something good, i bet folks from other countries will and even beg for more. Vector is bigger than the entire rap industry in Nigeria and should not stay stuckd there. best tracks i've heard from naija the whole year, best mixtape too, if you ask me. If the BAR-RACKS #mixtape was released again i'd bet it will sell.....f*#@!!! this shit!!.....is good!

Vector is actually overrated. The truth is this mixtape is not on a par with any mixtape/project released by the likes of M.I, Jesse Jagz, Modenine, even Phenom. That's not to say that there are not some good tracks in the mixtape though. What I'm saying in essence is that, having followed the guy's works for years, I can categorically say that he's too inconsistent to be this hyped.

I disagree with you on that. M.I is the only Nigerian rapper that has been able to deliver a combination of melody and dope lines in his songs and that is what new school rap is all about. I will give you an example. Listen to this track: http://www.naijapals.com/music/Do_I_Move_You_M_I_... off his illegal music II mixtape and tell me which other rapper that can do the kind of justice he did to that Nina Simone song. Rap music has gone past only lyricism; you've got to infuse enough melody before people can pay attention to you. This is what Modenine and… Read more »
