WORLD PREMIERE: Omawumi - If You Ask Me

Omawumi released her debut album, Wonder Woman in November of 2009 after the success of her single 'In The Music' and her popularity/success at the IDOLS West Africa competition where she was voted 1st runner up of the competition. Wonder Woman went on to sell 100,000 copies the 1st week and had several hit songs such as Today Na Today, Ma Fi Mi Sere ft. eLDee, Chocolata ft. Naeto C and more.

After a year working hard in the studio, refining her sound and re-loading for bigger impact after the success of the first album, Wonder Woman, the multi-award winning Omawumi is on the road to her new album.
And to hit it off for the new year, she has released a hot new single called If You Ask Me - a deep, touching song telling the story of an abused child.
This song, which deals with child sexual abuse and takes a musical journey through that painful experience, also complements Omawumi's work as an Ambassador for Project Alert, which advocates on issues of sexual abuse and reproductive health.

If you did not get her Album Wonder Woman, you should buy it now below.

Produced by Cobhams Asuquo

this is good at least 4rm a nigerian but am not suprised Oma + cobhams = Gold and she is stepping her game up which is already ridiculously high compare to other current female artist excluding asa and a few guessing she wants to give asa a run 4 her money in 2011 which is very possible cos lets face it asa doesnt give a shit about the nigerian market she is in europe 70% of the time but the production i have to say is not too original sounds like a rip off of amy winhouses rehab and a… Read more »

Ok Ive listened now. I should adore this but i dont. lyrics just sound akward as hell. like the story had to be shoehorned in somehow.... style reminds me of Asas new song and not in a great way... but its for a great cause and I reall do respect her for standing for something...

alanta is original naija beat.no faking. copy amy wine house u still cannot stand where she is. do not be decieved,if naija acts wants grammy, cpoying their style of music won't get them there. see femi kuti and sunny ade, they didn't do hip hop or rnb to get grammy nominations. even if asa manages to get a grammy nomination, she will never win.see anjelique kidjo?artists learn to better your sound..Highlife will make grammy
