Many might ask the question, Who listens to BTS? While others might wonder how popular the talented group is, the fact is that the 7-man group out of South Korea holds the biggest records across all platforms, which include; streaming, social media, charts and even song sales.

The group is known to be supported by the biggest fanbase in the music industry today called the A.R.M.Y, which comprises different people all across the world.

Here are ten records BTS still holds today documented by Billboard and even the Guinness World Record across all platforms:

1. Most Viewed YouTube Music Video In 24 hours

BTS holds the record for the video with the highest number of views in the first 24 hours of its release after the group recorded a stunning number of 108 million views with the smashing record 'Butter' in 2021. The group broke their existing record of the video with the highest views in 24 hours, a record which they held with the hit and Grammy-nominated record Dynamite with 101 million views.

2. The Most Streamed Group Of All Time On Spotify 

BTS broke the record of being the most streamed group on Spotify in 2021, surpassing the UK band Coldplay who had over 16 billion streams across all lead credits at the time the record was broken; they still hold the record to date as they have recorded over 20 billion streams on Spotify as the lead artist. BTS also finished 2021 as the third most streamed artist on Spotify, right behind Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift.

3. Best-Selling Album In 2020

BTS held the record for the best-selling album of 2020 as they sold over 4.8 million copies of their Map Of The Soul: 7 worldwide. It is also the best-selling Korean album of all time as well. The recent album has sold over 3.5 million copies so far in 2022 and is aiming for the best-selling album of 2022.

4. Group With The Highest Number Of Billboard Awards

BTS in 2021 took their total Billboard award tally to 12 beating the existing record of the group with the highest number of Billboard awards that was held by Beyonce's Destiny Child.

5. Artist With The Most Weeks At Number One On Billboard Hot 100 In 2021

BTS holds the record for the artist that spent the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for he year 2021 as the group spent a total of 10 weeks at number one on the popular US chart with their hit song 'Butter' that made its official debut on the chart in June 2021.

BTS also remains the only Asian artist to date to spend the longest time on the chart.

6. Most Viewers For The Premiere Of A Video On YouTube  

BTS in 2021 recorded the highest number of premiere viewers for a video in the YouTube's history as many tuned in to watch the first viewing of the hit single 'Butter.' 'Butter' had amassed a total of 3.9 million viewers watching the video premiere.

7. Most weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart

BTS broke Taylor Swift's record to become the only artist that has spent the most weeks at number one on the Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart, which is an exclusive chart for the United States, the group 2021, according to Guinness world record.

BTS with the hit song 'Dynamite' also holds the record for most weeks spent at number one for a song as the 2020 hit spent a total of 18 weeks at number one, breaking the previous record held by 'Despasito.'

8. Most Tickets Sold For A Live Streamed Concert 

BTS holds the record for the highest tickets sold for a live-streamed concert in the history of music. The group first set the record in 2020 after selling over 700,000 tickets for a live-streamed concert which was BANG BANG CON: THE LIVE. The concert was held during the pandemic period, and the boys could only connect with their fans online.

9. The Top-grossing Live Cinema Event

BTS, to date, with the Permission To Dance Live Concert, which was shown live across all 3,711 cinema houses in 75 different countries across all continents, made a total of  $32.6 million, according to Billboard. The concert, which was held for 3 days in Seoul, Korea, had a total of 45,000 in-person fans due to the COVID 19 restrictions in Korea as of March 2022. The concert was shown live and attracted  2.46 million people online.

BTS wrapped up their epic three-night stand of “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul” shows on Sunday night (March 13), capping a three-day, in-person extravaganza that was seen by 45,000 in-person fans. The second night of the run — titled “BTS Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul: Live Viewing,” was beamed live to cinemas around the world, which, according to a release from HYBE, was screened in 3,711 theatres in 75 countries/regions, with approximately 1.4 million viewers total reported at sell-outs across the world. According to HYBE, a total of 2.46 million people viewed the entire three-concert run.

10. The Most Streamed Act Of All Time On Youtube

BTS is the most streamed artist of all time on Youtube across all credits on the streaming platform with over 26.8 billion streams on the platform. The group recently overtook Justin Bieber on the platform.

When it comes to BTS the records are endless, they are also the first Asian act to make their debut on the Spotify Nigeria charts when it was introduced in 2022, appearing on the Daily and Weekly songs charts as well as the Top Artists Daily and weekly charts as Solo artists and as a group.
