GuiltyBeatz – Pilolo ft. Mr Eazi & Kwesi Arthur

Empawa act and Banku Muzik in-house producer GuiltyBeatz attempted to double up on the viral success of "Akwaaba" with this one, and succeeded. Not totally but to a good extent, as the song took over from where the producer's last release stopped by gracing the airwaves with another hit.

"Pilolo" is consistent with the ingredients of it's predecessor (dance-ready instrumental, one word title, and simple repetitive hook +verses), the only major difference being the change in features.

With label boss Mr Eazi still on board, this time around Kwesi Arthur lends his vocals in a rap verse instead of Patapaa/Pappy Kojo, churning out another dancefloor ready afropop tune.

Wendy Shay – All For You

The RuffTown Records/Midas Touch Inc. act Wendy Shay has been on a roll ever since her debut. The record label appointed successor to Ebony Reigns is doing quite well for herself, as she keeps on delivering hit after hit.

Most significant of all her songs this year is this groovy and infectious afrobeats tune titled "All For You", making for one of her biggest (if not her biggest) singles so far.

The song was dropped with a fun and colorful video to match, where the singer flaunts herself in all her black girl magic.

Sarkodie - Legend

Africa's most awarded rapper Sarkodie dropped a brand new project this year, titled the "Alpha" EP.

Off the project he delivered the official video for this single titled "Legend", featuring Joey B. Despite the song not being anything we haven't heard before from the rapper - the usual "I'm the number one rapper" steeze, it shot straight up the charts as what is currently the biggest hip-hop song in Ghana at the moment.

The success of this song and quite frankly any other song the rapper drops tells you one thing - Sarkodie fans definitely go hard, that's for sure. He calls them SarkNation for a reason.

Joey B x Sarkodie x Kwesi Arthur – La Familia

Joey B has always been an undeniable talent as far as the Ghana music scene is concerned. Almost a year since the rapper's last single "Stables", Joey spent that time between then and now delivering fire guest verse after guest verse.

Almost a year and about 15 guest verses later, he finally delivered a brand new cut of his own, titled "La Familia", which became a wave-maker as soon as it dropped.

The banging trap joint full of quotables, has guest appearances by rappers Kwesi Arthur and Sarkodie, who also both deliver fire verse. Rap is indeed having a very good year in Ghana.

Kawoula Biov ft. Patapaa – Daavi Neba

Patapaa has made a wildly successful career out of what may seem to non-Ghanaians to be raps in a Ghanaian language, but is rather rapping in... absolute gibberish.

The "One Corner" hitmaker inspired another vocal obsession with his verse on this song titled "Daavi Neba" by Ghanaian rapper Kawoula Biov, which is where the social media trend "Sco pa tu mana" came from.

Simply appearing on this joint as a guest, the rapper turned what was simply a guest feature into a worldwide catchprase. The two of them better find a way to get their coins!
