Paris Saint-Germain have suffered a major injury setback despite their impressive 4-2 UEFA Champions League win over Barcelona on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

The French champions confirmed on Wednesday that three key players, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé and captain Marquinhos sustained injuries during the encounter.

Kvaratskhelia suffered the most serious injury, tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee. The Georgian winger is scheduled to undergo surgery in the coming days, with the injury expected to keep him out for an extended period.

Dembélé sustained an injury to his left thigh, while Marquinhos suffered a right-thigh injury. Both players will remain under medical treatment in the coming weeks, according to the club.

The triple injury blow is a significant concern for manager Luis Enrique as PSG prepare for their upcoming fixtures. The absence of Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé and Marquinhos could affect the team's attacking options and defensive stability in the weeks ahead.

Despite the injury setbacks, PSG will take confidence from their victory over Barcelona as they look to maintain their strong start to the Champions League campaign.
