Who is 2027 Super Bowl headline performer?

Reports speculate that the 2027 Super Bowl headline performer has been selected ahead of the show scheduled for February 2027.
American rapper and business mogul Jay-Z has reportedly selected himself to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, according to a new report by Puck published on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
According to the report by journalist Dave Brooks, multiple sources indicated that the Roc Nation founder had chosen himself for the performance, which is scheduled to take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027. Neither the NFL nor Roc Nation had officially confirmed the reported selection as of publication.
The reported decision would see the 56-year-old rapper step onto the Super Bowl halftime stage for the first time, after years of helping determine which artists perform at one of the world's biggest sporting events.
Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, partnered with the NFL in 2019 to advise on artist selection and enhance the league's live entertainment, alongside its social justice initiatives. The partnership was renewed in 2024 for another five years.
The report also noted that pop stars Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber had been considered for the 2027 show before Jay-Z reportedly emerged as the choice. An official announcement could reportedly come during his scheduled performances at SoFi Stadium on October 23 and 24.
Although Jay-Z has played a major role in shaping the halftime show, he has never headlined it himself. His wife, Beyoncé, previously headlined the 2013 edition and appeared as a guest during Coldplay's performance in 2016.
