Omah Lay joins Clean Bandit and Chlöe on 'Company'

Clean Bandit have released Company featuring Chlöe and Omah Lay. The track marks the first taste of Clean Bandit's forthcoming studio album, scheduled for 2027, and is only the second release through CB X, the independent label the Grammy-winning group established as their new home.

The collaboration brings together three distinct musical identities: Clean Bandit's electronic and classical-pop production framework, Chlöe's confident pop-R&B vocal presence, and Nigerian singer-songwriter-producer Omah Lay's Afro-fusion delivery. The song centres on desire, loneliness and the need for human connection, retaining the rhythmic precision associated with Clean Bandit while allowing Chlöe's vocal runs and ad-libs and Omah Lay's distinctive delivery to shape the character of the track.

The collaboration reportedly came together partly by coincidence, with Clean Bandit's Grace Chatto and Jack Patterson connecting with the other artists while several parties happened to be in Los Angeles at the same time, and the visual approach for the official video deliberately kept colors muted as a contrast to the song's more vibrant musical character.

The song reveals a creative connection between Clean Bandit and Omah Lay that has been developing for years, giving Company the feel of a longer-gestating project rather than a quick one-off. With its blend of electronic-pop, R&B, and Afro-fusion elements, the single positions Clean Bandit to bridge multiple audiences ahead of their next full album cycle.
