Poco Lee, in a new interview session following his release on bail, has opened up about what singer Burna Boy did for him whilst he was arrested in the UK.

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has revealed that Afrobeats star Burna Boy stood by him during his recent legal ordeal in the United Kingdom.

Poco Lee made the revelation while speaking publicly for the first time since his release on bail, explaining that Burna Boy was among the people who continued to support him despite the serious nature of the allegation against him.

Speaking during a video call which was shared on Sunday, Poco Lee said many people would ordinarily be reluctant to associate with someone facing such an allegation, but Burna Boy remained supportive.

“Nobody would have wanted to associate themselves with something like that, but Burna Boy stood by me, Jago and some of my other guys,” he said.

The dancer also revealed that he remained mentally strong throughout the ordeal because he maintained that he had not committed the offence he was accused of.

According to Poco Lee, his biggest concerns during the period were instead about his associates and the effect his absence was having on their business activities.

“I was just being myself. God sees my heart. My only worries were about my people. Jago could not do anything business, and I didn’t want to stress anyone,” he said.

Poco Lee added that his state of mind would have been different if he believed he was responsible for the alleged offence.

“If I was inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure,” he added.

Poco Lee's legal situation followed his trip to the United Kingdom in August for the Davido and Friends concert at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.

Snaresbrook Crown Court had earlier scheduled September 15 for plea and trial preparation proceedings in the case.

Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence, and the allegation against him remains subject to determination by the court.
