Alejandro Garnacho completes his move to Aston Villa

Aston Villa have officially completed the signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea on a season-long loan, with a conditional obligation to make the move permanent next summer.

The Argentina international arrives at Villa Park as Unai Emery continues to reshape his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign. Garnacho joined Chelsea from Manchester United last summer in a deal worth around £40 million, but he struggled to establish himself as a regular starter, scoring eight goals in 43 appearances across all competitions.

The decision to leave Chelsea was due to limited spot under Xabi Alonso, the 22-year-old has opted for a fresh start at Villa. The move for Garnacho comes shortly after Morgan Rogers' high-profile switch to Chelsea, with Emery identifying the Argentine winger as an ideal addition to inject pace, creativity and direct attacking threat into his side.

The Villa boss welcomed the signing, expressing confidence that Garnacho's talent and commitment will strengthen the squad for the challenges ahead. This move represents an opportunity to reignite the form that made him one of Europe's most exciting young wingers during his time at Manchester United.

If the agreed performance-related conditions are met, Aston Villa will be obliged to complete a permanent transfer next summer, potentially bringing an end to his brief spell at Chelsea
