Nigeria has dominated the list of Africa's most-streamed R&B songs for the year 2025 with the country's artists taking the most spots in top 5.
Nigeria has reaffirmed its status as Africa's leading music powerhouse after four Nigerian-led songs secured places in the top five most-streamed R&B tracks on Spotify across the continent in 2025.
The latest rankings highlight the continued dominance of Nigerian artists, with only one non-Nigerian act making the prestigious list.
Topping the chart is "VENUS" by Faceless and SERØTONIN, which emerged as Africa's most-streamed R&B song on Spotify in 2025. Nigerian superstar Rema follows closely in second place with "Baby (Is It a Crime)," a song that has enjoyed remarkable commercial success since its release in February 2025.
Rising star Kunmie claims third place with "Arike," while Fola and Kizz Daniel occupy fourth with "Lost." Rounding out the top five is Ayra Starr and Wizkid's collaboration, "Gimme Dat."
The rankings further underline Nigeria's influence on the African music scene, with the country's artists accounting for 80% of the top five. The achievement reflects the global appeal of Nigerian music and the growing popularity of Afro-R&B across streaming platforms.
