Popular singer Brymo in his latest interview with NotJustOk originals has slammed Burna Boy and his Grammy win.

Nigerian singer Brymo has opened up about his reaction to Burna Boy's controversial lyric, "Hustle make you no fall off like Brymo," saying he was shocked that an artist of Burna Boy's stature chose to include the line in one of his songs.

Speaking in an interview with NotJustVerses, Brymo said he found the lyric disappointing and described it as "mediocre."

"I was surprised that he is flying so high and he did not realize how mediocre how that was. I should be that important," Brymo said.

The singer revealed that he confronted Burna Boy over the lyric and made it clear that he would never respond by mentioning Burna Boy in his own music.

"I told him your name no go ever appear for my song."

Brymo also dismissed the significance of Burna Boy's Grammy Award, making the controversial claim that the prestigious honour was "bought."

"You won a Grammy and so what? It was bought. Who's your mate."

Continuing his criticism of the music award system, Brymo alleged that he had previously been asked to pay $10,000 to secure a BET Award nomination or recognition.

"I've been told to pay $10k for a BET Awards before. I don't care what fraternity you belong to."

His comments are likely to reignite discussions about Burna Boy's lyric and could also spark fresh debate over transparency in international music awards.
