NFF appoints new coaches for its male teams

The body governing football in Nigeria, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced new head of coaches for its youth team across all board.
The body made the announcement on its official website on Thursday, 7, 2026. They appointed Abdu Maikaba as the new head coach of the U20 male national team, the Flying Eagles, and Eboboritse Uwejamomere as the head coach of the U17 boys' team, the Golden Eaglets.
These decision was taken following a reshuffling of the backroom staff for all age-grade national teams.
The New Head Coach Appointments (May 2026)Flying Eagles (U20 Boys): Abdu Maikaba replaces Aliyu Zubairu. Maikaba who is veteran of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) will take the role with wealth of experience.
He managed top clubs like Enyimba, Kano Pillars, and Plateau United.
Golden Eaglets (U17 Boys):
Eboboritse Uwejamomere takes over from Manu Garba. Uwejamomere previously served as a coach-analyst for both the Super Eagles and Super Falcons and was the head of the Sporting Lagos FC academy.
The key appointments for national youth and secondary teams:Falconets (U20 Girls): Moses Aduku was recently appointed as head coach, replacing Chris Danjuma.
Future Eagles (U13/U15 Boys):
Patrick Bassey leads this developmental squad.
Olympic/CHAN Team (U23):
Salisu Yusuf remains the head of the CHAN and Olympic Eagles setup.
