Callum McFarlane gives update on James and Colwill's injury

Callum McFarlane has provided a positive but cautious injury update on Reece James and Levi Colwill ahead of Chelsea’s next match.

Both defenders have returned to full team training, which is a major boost after their respective injury setbacks. McFarlane confirmed that they are “looking good” and progressing well in recovery, signaling that they are close to being available again.

However, the Chelsea boss made it clear the club will not rush either player back into action. With several games still to play, the medical and coaching staff are taking a day-by-day approach to ensure both players are fully fit before featuring.

He said,

Reece is back in training. Levi is back in training. Both looking good. Both are looking promising”.

There is a chance they could be included in the squad for the upcoming clash, but their involvement will depend on how they respond in the final training sessions.

This is a major update for Chelsea as both players are back on the pitch in training and nearing a return, but the club is prioritizing long-term fitness over a rushed comeback.

The return of both players will be a major boost for Chelsea going into the remainder of the season. The Blues supporters will hope that both players can bring a huge addition to the club.
