The Premier League has officially unveiled the nominees for the best Player of the Month award for 2026.

The shortlist consists of amazing players who were impressive for their respective clubs and delivered consistently high-level displays throughout the month. It also reflects a blend of creativity, goal-scoring efficiency, and overall influence, with players from both top eight contenders and mid-table sides earning recognition.

Manchester City dominate the shortlist with two representatives in Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly, both of whom were instrumental in their club’s strong run of results. Cherki, in particular, showcased his creative quality with goals and assists in key fixtures, while O’Reilly’s all-round contributions highlighted his growing influence in Pep Guardiola’s system.

Their performances have helped City maintain pressure at the top end of the table. Elsewhere, Jarrod Bowen and Konstantinos Mavropanos earned recognition for West Ham, underlining the club’s consistency across both attacking and defensive phases. Morgan Gibbs-White continues to be a standout creative force for Nottingham Forest.

Brighton’s Pascal Groß once again demonstrated his tactical intelligence and versatility in midfield. Leeds United’s Noah Okafor and Bournemouth’s Alex Scott, both of whom have emerged as key figures for their respective teams. Their inclusion highlights the Premier League’s depth, where standout performances are not limited to traditional top-six clubs.

The April shortlist underlines the Premier League’s depth of talent, with multiple clubs represented and several players stepping up at crucial moments in the season.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday, May 8, 2026.
