Chelsea set to open talks with top European manager

Chelsea are reportedly preparing an attempt to lure Luis Enrique to Stamford Bridge, as the club continues its search for Laim Rosenior's replacement.

The Blues have endured a poor spell marked by inconsistency and frequent managerial changes, prompting the hierarchy to consider elite-level options capable of restoring long-term direction. Despite the speculation, Enrique's departure from Paris Saint-Germain will be not be an easy decaison as the Spanish tactician remains under contract and is currently leading PSG through a competitive campaign, with strong backing from the club’

His ongoing project in Paris presents a significant obstacle for any potential suitor, including Chelsea. There are reports from France that Enrique will extend his contract with PSG.

Chelsea’s interest in Enrique is not entirely new as the former Barcelona manager has previously been linked with the role but was hesitant due to concerns surrounding the club’s structure and long-term vision. While ownership continues to push for a rebuild, questions remain about whether those earlier reservations have been adequately addressed.

However Chelsea supporters will hope that the club appoints a top manager who will be able to return the glory days to Stamford Bridge.
