Pep Guardiola gives update on Haaland and O'Reilly's injury

Manchester City supporters were hit with a sad news as it concerns two of their key players going into the crucial part of the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
Pep Guardiola was speaking in his in her presser when he confirmed that Haaland and Nicole O'Reilly will not be available for Wednesday's home game against Nottingham Forest.
Guardiola confirmed that Haaland missed the game due to a minor knock sustained in training earlier in the week. The City boss described it as a “small injury,” insisting it is not considered serious, but admitted the striker was not fit enough to feature.
However, when pressed on a possible return date, Guardiola conceded that he was unsure, saying the club will monitor the Norwegian’s recovery in the coming days. Meanwhile, young midfielder O’Reilly was forced off during the match after picking up an ankle knock.
Guardiola explained that the youngster initially tried to continue but had to be substituted when the discomfort worsened. The manager did not provide a specific timeline for his recovery, though the issue appears to be precautionary rather than long-term.
