Lagos, February 15, 2026 — betPawa Nigeria has officially launched betPawa1v1, a nationwide football skill challenge created to uncover and reward Nigeria’s best one-on-one football talents.

Hosted by football content creator Mobike and amplified by music superstar Tekno, the competition invites Nigerian footballers to post short videos showcasing their 1v1 skills on TikTok or Instagram using the hashtag #betPawa1v1 and tagging @betpawanigeria and @betpawa1v1 social media accounts.

From today, entries are open nationwide, with participants competing for a place among the Top 32 finalists, who will battle it out at a live grand finale event. The overall prize pool for the competition stands at ₦28 million, with the eventual winner set to receive ₦10 million.

Speaking on the launch, betPawa stated that the initiative is designed to celebrate the depth of football talent found on Nigerian streets and provide visibility and rewards to players who often go unnoticed.

“Football is deeply rooted in Nigerian youth culture. betPawa1v1 is about giving everyday ballers the spotlight and backing talent with real rewards,” the company said.

Throughout the campaign period, standout entries will be featured weekly, while finalists will be announced in stages before the live knockout tournament. The final event will be produced under a formal competition framework to ensure fairness, safety, and transparency.

The campaign is expected to generate widespread digital engagement, combining football, music, and creator culture into one of Nigeria’s most ambitious social-led sports activities of the year.
