Barcelona have officially confirmed that Marcus Rashford will miss the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg vs Atlético Madrid because of a knee injury sustained in their recent win over Mallorca.

The English forward suffered a pain in his left knee after a blow in that match and won’t be available for Thursday's game against Atlético Madrid. Barcelona confirmed the news on its official website on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, after it was confirmed that he would be out for a crucial game.

The statement read,

"First team player Marcus Rashford is experiencing discomfort in his left knee resulting from a blow received during the match against Mallorca. He is ruled out as a precautionary measure for tomorrow’s match against Atlético de Madrid.

This injury is a significant blow for Barcelona, as Raphinha is also expected to miss the game against Atletico, as he has yet to return to training after being diagnosed with an overload. The Brazilian has been forced to sit out Barcelona’s last two games and still seems to be suffering some discomfort.

Barcelona face Atletico on Thursday and then play again on Monday, February 20, 2026, when they travel to Girona in La Liga. The club’s supporters will hope these key players return to fitness very soon.
