Enzo Maresca gives update on Liam Delap injury

The head coach of Chelsea Football Club, Enzo Maresca, has given an update on the injury situation of Liam Delap after the disappointing result against Bournemouth.
The Chelsea forward was dragged to the ground following a set-piece in the first half of Saturday's goalless draw at Bournemouth and was clearly in pain as he walked off the pitch to be substituted. The injury will be assessed over the coming days and comes as a blow to the striker, who had already missed ten matches this season due to a hamstring injury.
Maresca said,
"Unfortunately, he has already been out for two months, and he has to be out again. We don't know for how long, but it looks quite bad, his shoulder. He has been unlucky. We are also a bit unlucky because we need that kind of a No.9.’
Delap featured in Chelsea's first three games of the Premier League season before suffering a hamstring injury in the 2-0 win over Fulham on August 30. He returned from injury at the end of October and today was his sixth appearance since coming back from injury.
Chelsea have had a disappointing outing in their last three Premier League games against Arsenal, Leeds United. The injury to Delap means Maresca will play Joao Pedro in the striker's role against Atalanta and Everton.
