Nigerian rapper and outspoken activist Eedris Abdulkareem has raised alarm over the sudden suspension of his Facebook and Instagram accounts, which he says happened shortly after he dropped his new politically charged track, Open Letter to Donald Trump, on November 30, 2025.

Speaking on Sunday, the veteran rapper revealed that he has been unable to access both accounts since the song’s release. A check by confirmed that his pages on the two Meta-owned platforms are no longer visible. However, Meta has not issued any statement explaining the takedown or clarifying whether his accounts were removed for violating any policies.

Eedris, who is known for his bold commentary on politics and governance, also did not state whether he received any warnings or notifications prior to the suspension.

The new song by Eedris Abdulkareem, Open Letter to Donald Trump released under Lakreem Entertainment, tackles issues such as corruption, insecurity, and bad leadership in Nigeria. Although presented as a message to U.S. President Donald Trump, the track largely addresses Nigerian political leaders and the country’s governance challenges.

This is not the first time Eedris Abdulkareem has faced backlash over his music. In April 2025, the National Broadcasting Commission banned his song Tell Your Papa, claiming it contained content that violated broadcast regulations.
