Nigerian hitmaker Young Jonn has confirmed a new release date for his highly anticipated album, Blue Disco.

The project, originally scheduled for November 21, will now be released on Friday, November 28, 2025.

The singer-producer born John Saviours Udomboso, postponed the album just a day before its initial rollout, citing the growing insecurity across the country as the reason he could not proceed with a celebratory launch. In his statement at the time, he expressed concern over the national climate, describing the situation as “unbearable,” and called for peace, unity, and responsible leadership.

With the new date set, anticipation around Blue Disco remains high. The album, whose cover features a blue-themed portrait of the artist, boasts a heavyweight lineup of Nigerian and international stars. Confirmed collaborators include Rema, Olamide, Shenseea, Franglish, Focalistic, and two tracks each with Wizkid and Asake.

Blue Disco marks another major step in the transition of Young Jonn from one of Nigeria’s most successful producers into a fully established recording artist. Following a run of chart-topping singles, the forthcoming album is expected to showcase a blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and global pop influences, further cementing his rise as a leading voice in contemporary African music.
