Gabzy set to make a major Lagos appearance this December
Nigerian-British Afro-R&B sensation Gabzy has been officially announced as the headline performer for EliteFest 25, rounding off Lagos’s packed festive concert season with a soulful, intimate close.
The critically acclaimed singer will take the stage at the Balmoral Event Centre, Victoria Island, on Monday, December 29, 2025.
The reveal came with a bold promotional image confirming Gabzy’s long-awaited return to Nigeria. His appearance at EliteFest 25 is expected to draw fans who have followed his rise through his deeply emotive songwriting, signature vocal style, and strong presence in the UK’s R&B scene.
Gabzy whose real name is Gabriel Akinyemi, has earned praise for his seamless fusion of Afrobeats, soul, and R&B, showcased in hits such as Pull Up, As Friends, and the Melvitto-assisted records that helped cement his global following. Fresh off his international tour and the release of his 2025 EP, It’s Not You, It’s Summer, the Lagos concert promises to spotlight both new music and well-loved tracks from his catalog.
EliteFest 25 organizers describe the show as one of the final major “Detty December” events of the year, offering a more relaxed, emotionally rich experience compared to Lagos’s typically high-energy festive concerts.
