Latest update on Gabriel Magalhaes injury

Arsenal Football Club were hit with an injury to one of its first-team center backs, Gabriel Magalhaes during the game against Liverpool at the Emirates.

The Gunners before the game were without William Saliba who was serving a match suspension following his red card against Bournemouth. Gabriel Magalhaes picked up the injury in the second half which was a big blow to Arsenal picking up maximum points against Liverpool.

However, Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta gave a brief update on the fitness of the Brazilian international during his post-match press conference against the Reds. According to him, there is nothing sure about the player's fitness but he will be accessed by the team.

"We still don’t have details about that. For sure, he could not run. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know if it’s the knee joint or the ankle. They’re assessing him”.

However, Arsenal supporters will hope that the injury to Gabriel is not severe ahead of their trip to Saint James' Park.
