Odion Ighalo and other former Super Eagles of Nigeria players have reacted to the 2024 summer transfer saga involving Victor Osimhen.
The summer 2024 transfer saga was an intense one with arguably the biggest player our of Africa, Victor Osimhen being at the center of it all, with rumours, criticism and many more flying around and surrounding his future at the club.
With the close of the summer 2024 transfer window, former Super Eagles of Nigeria player Odion Ighalo and others such as John Ogu have all shared their thoughts on the reaction of football fans to the Victor Osimhen transfer saga.
Recall that a proposed loan move for Victor Osimhen to Chelsea was not agreed on with both parties failing to reach an agreement on personal terms leading to the full collapse of the deal. This led to a vast array of reactions on social media with many questioning the genesis and exodus of the entire transfer move and his reasons for not accepting a paycut.

Former Super Eagles of Nigeria forward Odion Jude Ighalo in his recent post on social media has reacted to the ongoing transfer saga involving Victor Osimhen and his current club Napoli.
The former Man United forwward called out people for their negative comments on social media questioning the motive and reason to push such a narrative against a player who puts his country first in different situations.
His post on social media read, "No human being is perfect and we have all made mistakes in life, but seeing comments about this young man from his own country people makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened, I spoke to him and I can feel the pain in his voice, the way he's been treated, this young man play with heart and pains for his country, Hmmm it's well, he will definitely be back stronger, we learn everyday in life, Happy New Month to y'all."

John Ogu reacts to the Victor Osimhen transfer update
Former Super Eagles of Nigeria player John Ogu has also reacted to the 2024 summer transfer saga involving Vicor Osimhen.
The midfielder opened up on his story and struggles whilst playing in Europe and also commended Victor Osimhen for his courage. His posts on social media read, "I did d boy is good to many clubs in my career. What did I end up getting ? Zero trust back from the people I did the boy is good for . Y’all didn’t know I had a deal from BETIS worth 4m€ as at 6yrs ago in the club I played then . What happened , they hide it and never told me ."
He also posted, "ALL THE BEST MY LOVELY BROTHER @victorosimhen9 . ALWAYS WITH YOU."
