4 key players out of Chelsea's Conference League squad

It has been confirmed that four key players for Chelsea will miss the second leg of their conference league playoff against Servette.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided injury updates ahead of the club's Thursday UEFA Conference League play-off second leg against Servette.

According to recent reports, four senior players will not be available for selection for Chelsea in their fixture against Servette which will be played today, Thursday, August 29, 2024.

In the pre-match press conference, Enzo Maresca spoke about how players like Reece James and Romeo Lavia will both miss the game due to injury.

Reece James who has not started a single game for Chelsea in the 2024/2025 season will remain out due to injury and Romeo Lavia who missed Chelsea's fixture against Wolves will also miss out of the action due to a minor hamstring injury.

Enzo also revealed that he would be taking precautionary measures with Malo Gusto and Pedro Netoas both players did not travel with the club to Switzerland for the second leg of the fixture.

The Blues head into the game with a 2-0 lead from the first leg, secured by goals from Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke.
