Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has been left out of Napoli's pre-season squad under the new leadership of Antonio Conte.

According to reports, Victor Osimhen has been left out of Napoli SSC's pre-season squad ahead of the new football season under the leadership of Antonio Conte.

This officially confirms that the African Footballer of the Year 2023, is not part of the 2024/2025 campaign plans in the Serie A for the Italian outfit.

With many speculations as to the future of Victor Osimhen and where he is likely to go in the June 2024 Summer transfer window, many have been stunned by the bold decision by the club even though he was spotted in training with his teammates and Antonio Conte.

Napoli seems to have their eyes set on bringing the Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as he is highly admired by Antonio Conte who managed him at Inter Milan.

Which clubs are interested in signing Victor Osimhen?

Reports have confirmed that Chelsea and PSG are the two top clubs who have shown interest in signing Victor Osimhen in Europe with the Nigerian international also receiving a mouth-watering offer of almost 1 million euros per week from the Saudi Pro League.

It has been reported that talks are proceeding well with PSG and Victor Osimhen but the French Ligue 1 side however have an issue with his price tag and will not pay more than 80 million pounds for the Nigerian.

Chelsea have reportedly also shown interest and do not have a problem with the price tag but rather with the wages Victor Osimhen is requesting from the club.

With a long time left before the summer transfer window closes ahead of the 2024/2025 season, it remains to be seen if Victor Osimhen will be playing for another outfit in Europe or other parts of the world.
