Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has taken to X to express his heartfelt appreciation to his fans for the success of his album African Giant.
In a tweet, the Grammy-nominated artist revealed that he had no expectations when creating the album. Stating, "When I made this album, I literally had no expectations at all! I wanted to get shit off my chest and I appreciate you all for fuckin with it. #AFRICANGIANTIS5."
Released in July 2019, African Giant has been a resounding success. The album was among the nominees for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Grammy Awards. It also won Album of the Year at the 2020 All Africa Music Awards.
