Arsenal Football Club have confirmed the signing of Riccardo Calafiori on a long-term deal from Bologna ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Gunners confirmed the signing of the Italian defender on its official website on Monday, July 29, 2024, in an interesting video. According to the club, Riccardo Calafiori signed a five-year deal that will keep him at the Emirates at least until 2029 after an impressive season for Bologna last season.

He was a leading figure in their backline, emerging as one of the strongest and most consistent performers in Serie A. He played an integral role in helping Bologna finish in fifth position and also book a Champions League qualification for the first time in 60 years.

Riccardo will wear the number 33 shirt and has travelled to the US to join up with his new teammates in Philadelphia, as they continue their preparations ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Arsenal manager expressed his excitement concerning the latest addition to his squad ahead of the new season.
