Following the official confirmation of his transfer to Marseille from Manchester United, the official jersey number of Mason Greenwood has been revealed.

 Manchester United and Marseille have agreed, with the Red Devils selling Mason Greenwood on a permanent transfer.

The 22-year-old has now agreed to make the switch, with the French side reportedly agreeing to pay €30 million to the Red Devils, with Marseille interested in signing the star this summer, despite reports of interest from the likes of Juventus, Lazio and Borussia Dortmund, among others.

Mason Greenwood who is  22-year-old was a product of United’s academy but has not played for the Premier League club since January 2022 and was on loan at Getafe last season.

After he impressed while he was on loan at Spanish side Getafe, the forward will hope to enjoy another strong season after joining Roberto De Zerbi’s team ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

Speaking on the move, Manchester United shared a statement that read, “Mason Greenwood has left Manchester United and joined French club Olympique de Marseille on a permanent transfer. The 22-year-old English forward, who spent last season on loan at Getafe in Spain, made 129 appearances and scored 35 goals for United since making his debut in 2019. We wish Mason all the best in his future career.”

Following the official confirmation of the transfer, Marseille have officially unveiled Mason Greenwood as one of the players in the Ligue 1 side giving him the 10 jersey in the squad.

Mason Greenwood spoke about the move and he revealed, "Obviously, I am aware of this debate and I understand the question. I do not wish to enter into any controversy. I already had the opportunity to express myself on this subject last year, it is now behind us.  With my partner, we rebuilt ourselves together, as a couple, we have just spent a year in Madrid. We have been together since we were 15, 16 years old, today we have a beautiful little girl who has just celebrated her first birthday. I am now looking towards the future and I am only focused on Olympique de Marseille and on our new life, together, in Marseille."
