Ikorodu City gain promotion to the NPFL

Ikorodu City claimed the final spot among teams that will play in the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL) next season (2024/25).

The Oga boys as they are popularly called booked their qualification to be part of the teams that will play top-flight league football next season.

Ikorodu FC achieved this feat on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in their 2-0 victory against Madiba FC. They picked the ticket after an impressive run in the 2024 Nigeria National League Super 8 Playoffs in Enugu where they came out second in the Southern Conference with five points at the playoffs.

Ikorodu City have been on a roller coaster since it was formed two years ago, they survived relegation on the final day of the Nigeria National League ( NNL) in 2022, played relegation playoffs in 2023 before gaining promotion to the NPFL in 2024.

Beyond Limits also secured promotion to the NPFL after emerging as table toppers in the Southern Conference with seven points in the playoffs.
