Chelsea star players snubbed from France Euro 2024 squad selection
Arguably one of the biggest players for Chelsea in the 23/24 club football season has been omitted from the France Euro 2024 squad.
Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto has been omitted from the France Euro 2024 final squad selection which was confirmed in an official announcement today, Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Malo Gusto was however not the only Chelsea player omitted from the squad selection for France, forward Christopher Nkunku was also dropped as well.
Former Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante was however recalled to join the French national team ahead of the Euros 2024.
With the June 7, 2024, final selection for the Euro 2024 in sight, Didier Deschamps opted for a 25-man squad list even though he was allowed to select a total of 26 players ahead of key fixtures in the Euro 2024 tournament.

What we think
The selection of N'Golo Kante is a welcome development and a clear indicator that Didier Deschamps had in fact learnt from the struggles of France in the World Cup 2022 final in the aspect of experience and midfield strength.
With Nkunku just returning from injury it is only logical he be omitted from the selection.
